While the actual attention to detail I place on the success of your event is impossible to describe here, I hope a short description will provide the differences you may experience with me in this role.
I have managed hundreds of events and when you hire me, my work does not begin the day of your event. Many Day-of-Coordinators show up on the event day or day prior working from an itinerary and description that was written by someone else. This can be problematic. With my services, I begin days or weeks prior to the date on the phone or by email reaching out to your vendors and the location to let them know about my role in preparation of working together. I will often visit the location, especially if I am unaccustomed to the venue beforehand. There is a checklist of items I cover to make sure I have all the facts about your event and vendors to manage the logistics successfully. I make sure the vendors arrive and setup as planned and provide specifically what you contracted them for. I recognize the differences when contracted elements are not provided as requested. I also take the time to talk to every table of guests at your event to assure the success of the evening. This ensures the music is at a balanced level, meals were delivered properly, and the attention to detail and vendor provisions you expected are all being monitored by a professional.
